About Me

Let me tell you a little about myself. I look forward to getting to know all of you, too. 

My name is Brandy McWhorter. My family has lived in the Petersburg area since 2000. 

I went back to school at 42 years old to pursue my teaching degree. I graduated from The University of Illinois Springfield in May 2023. 

I have been married to my husband, James, for 28 years, and we have 2 sons.

 My oldest son Logan is 26 and works as a Correctional Officer. He is married to Taylor, a "Q" at DD Homes in Jacksonville. They live in Tallula with their dog, Jax, and three cats.

My youngest son Ethan is 24 and a full-time student at Kaskaskia College in Centralia. He is married to Katy, a Patient Care Technician. They live in Highland with their two cats, Spork and Sprinkle.  

My husband and I enjoy our "empty nest" with our three dogs, Banjo, Penny, and Daisy, and our Siamese Cat, Peso.
